My Opinion On The Molestation Case:
Personally, such news angers me. I'm never comfortable listening to news about disrespect to women...
This particular case angered me quite a bit, because it's a new year, and starting off the year getting molested can't be good. Everyone deserves to enjoy New Year's, but not at the cost of someone else's happiness.
These men are definitely to blame and should be punished for what they did, but a signifant part of the blame could also go to their parents, because they would not have acted in such a manner if they were brought up with respect for women.
On New Year's, a lot of people enjoy by smoking, drinking and getting high in innumerable ways. When this happens, they're obviously not in their senses, and they act in accordance with their subconscious mind, or in accordance with the way they were brought up.
Is There A Solution To Reduce These Problems?
Just like everything else, this has a solution too. No it's not improving the police force, because they'll catch the fugitives only after they've committed a crime...but our objective should be reducing the number of people who commit such atrocious acts.
How can such behaviour be prevented?
Of course, by bringing up your child correctly.
The following steps can be followed while bringing up your child so that he learns how to respect women:
1. Treat your wife respectfully. Children tend to follow their father's footsteps often.
2. Whenever your male child says anything that could be considered slightly offensive to women, stop them, no matter what their age. Teach them to be appropriate since the very beginning. Don't make the mistake of letting it pass just because your kid is "too young", else one day you might be too late.
3. Teach him how to treat a woman properly, with respect, while you can. Don't let him grow too old for you to have any command over him. I personally know someone who is very disrespectful to women, and I hate him for that, but it's too late to change him. Don't let that happen to your kid.
4. Teach him how to stand up against people who don't treat women the way they deserve. Teach him to stand up for what's right. If we have more men who stand up for women, molestations and similar acts will reduce significantly.
5. Never let the misconception of men being a 'superior' race get in the head of your son. A person with that attitude will never be appreciated by any woman.
Okay, But What About Exceptional Cases?
There are some kids born violent...there are some kids born disrespectful...
I'm a very violent and aggressive person, personally, but I'd never hit a woman with a rose. I can't even think of hurting a woman...I gave you my example to prove to you that no matter what your son's nature is, there's always certain attitudes that can be developed...
It's not impossible to teach your kid, no matter how exceptional he is, to respect women. There's a necessity of respectful men in this world, because even with feminism and everything, a large proportion of men still believe they have the upper hand.
